GIVING
Giving is an act of worship. God asks in Malachi 3:10 for us to bring the tithe into the storehouse so that He can pour out a blessing on us and 2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us that God loves a cheerful giver. IMPORTANCE OF TITHE
The word "tithe" means "tenth" or 10%. "Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts." Malachi 3:10-12
OFFERINGS
Offerings are money given above the tithe. This amount is whatever you want to give. "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
